Happy Thoughts, by Marcel Girouard

Years ago, people who had amassed large amounts of compact disks in their music collections were hoping to find a way to condense their library into a more portable unit. The solution was to digitalize the music as an MP3 file and have it played by an Apple iPod or a Microsoft Zune. In no time, movies, TV shows, and radio broadcasts were put into a similar format, placing mass media into the palm of one’s hand. Amazon is hoping that its Kindle will do for the electronic book industry what Apple’s iPod has done to the digital music industry.
